40th AFRICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS IN CAPE TOWN- DAY 3- SPECTACULAR, BREATHTAKING WITH A LOT OF SURPRISES

The 3rd day of competition of the 40th African Judo Championships in Cape Town was spectacular with a lot of surprises. The reigning African Champion the Egyptian Ramadan Darwish was beaten in the category -100Kg and the Senegal won a gold medal in the heavy weights (+100). After Asmaa Niang, the Moroccan beaten yesterday, it’ s another african champion in reign who is being dethroned today. The Algerian Lyes Bouyacoub won against Darwish Ramadan by Ippon. Surprising and against all odds after the good performances saved by the Egyptian in the open competitions and other international meetings. To one year of the Olympic Games the athletes displays the ambitions to collect maximum points to qualify for the Olympic games 2020 in Tokyo. Here are some pictures of today’s competition.
