The techniques are scrutinized throughout the day. The referees of several African countries numbering about forty are confronted with situations more difficult than the others during the fighting. Techniques and controversies are discussed in depth. The participants are confronted with the facts and are called upon to apply the regulations while taking into consideration the issue that involves a decision
IFJ experts including Daniel Lascau, Juan Carlos Barcos and Armen Bagdasarov have repeatedly made stops on the image in combat situations to explain the importance of understanding scenarios. 'Landing on the head' or 'bridge' and shidos among many other examples to explain the complexity of one or more techniques during combat.
This international seminar for referees and coaches is an important operation to increase the number of referees in Africa and at the same time; allow arbitrators to obtain the International Arbitrator's License. Know that at the beginning of this mandate, the Executive Committee of the African Judo Union defined with its Chief Director of Refereeing, the major strategic axes of development to promote effective arbitration.In this respect, the UAJ has ensured: increase the number of high-level referees in all National Federations, consolidate the credibility of African refereeing, set up a referee training strategy aimed at officiating in major judo competitions.
The seminar is led by three IFJ experts namely: Mr Florin Daniel LASCAU, Chief Director of Refereeing; Mr BAGDASAROV Armen, Chief Director of Arbitration; and Mr BARCOS Juan Carlos, Director of International Relations.Ababakar Ngom and Khaled of the Directorate of Refereeing are among the supervisors who provide this training.
